Budget pacing, made useful

Know what needs attention before month-end.

A spend total tells you what happened. Pacing helps you understand whether that spend matches the plan.

  • Spot spend moving ahead

Find clients, platforms, or campaigns consuming budget faster than expected.

  • Catch budgets falling behind

See where lower spend may need a closer look while there is still time to respond.

  • Daily targets that follow your ad schedule

Set the days ads run at the client level. LeadUp uses your schedule to calculate remaining ad days, pacing, and the daily spend needed to stay on plan.

A simple pacing example

Halfway through your scheduled ad days.

With half the month’s scheduled ad days complete, a $12,000 monthly budget has a $6,000 spend target at an even pace.

Behind pace · 70%$4,200 spent
On pace · 100%$6,000 spent
Ahead of pace · 120%$7,200 spent

Each example uses the same budget. The marker shows the expected spend at this point in the month. Pacing is context for a decision, not a measure of campaign performance.

FAQ

Budget management, explained.

Practical answers about integrations, budget levels, and paid media pacing.

Talk through your setup
How much does LeadUp cost, and what is included?

LeadUp costs $49.99 per month. Connect unlimited advertising accounts across supported platforms, with no limit on platform connections. Your subscription includes budget management and access to all other LeadUp features.

What is PPC budget management software?

PPC budget management software helps teams organize advertising budgets and compare actual spend with their plan. LeadUp brings connected ad accounts into a client-centered workspace so agencies can assign budgets and monitor pacing across clients, platforms, and campaigns.

Which advertising platforms does LeadUp support?

LeadUp supports Google Ads, Google Local Services Ads (LSA), Meta Ads, and StackAdapt. You can link the supported accounts to a client and review their spend together.

Can I assign budgets at the client, platform, and campaign level?

Yes. Set an overall client budget, assign platform budgets, or manage budgets for individual campaigns. This lets your team work at the level of detail each client’s media plan needs.

Can I link multiple advertising accounts to one client?

Yes. You can link supported advertising accounts to the same client, bringing their spend into one workspace. This makes it easier to review the client’s overall budget and then look more closely at individual platforms and campaigns.

What does budget pacing tell me?

Budget pacing compares actual spend with the amount expected at that point in the budget period. For example, halfway through the month’s scheduled ad days, spending $6,000 of a $12,000 monthly budget is 100% of an even pace. Spending $7,200 would be 120% of that pace. It helps you identify where spend is moving ahead of or behind the plan.

How do ad schedules affect pacing and daily targets?

Set an ad schedule at the client level to define the days your ads are planned to run. LeadUp uses that schedule to calculate the remaining ad days and account for them in pacing and daily targets. Your daily target is the remaining budget divided by the remaining scheduled ad days. For example, $3,000 remaining with 10 scheduled ad days left gives you a $300 daily target.

Why review platform pacing if the client total is on track?

A client can be on pace overall while one platform spends faster and another spends slower than planned. Reviewing platform and campaign budgets gives you the detail needed to investigate that difference and decide where to adjust your media plan.

Is LeadUp built for agencies managing multiple clients?

Yes. LeadUp organizes connected accounts around clients so agencies can review budget pacing across their client portfolio and then focus on the accounts and campaigns that need attention.
